Fig. 1 — one asset, seven forums

An intangible asset has no borders. Its protection has seven of them.

A patent, a trade mark, a data flow and a token licence are governed in different places, on different clocks, by different authorities. We map that geometry for companies operating through Lithuania and Estonia — and then work it, one file at a time.

The routes are not interchangeable. A mark registered at 12 is enforced in one place; a patent granted at 10 may be litigated for four countries at once at 18, in English. An authorisation held under 20 is read by a different supervisor the moment the entity moves to 22. Most costly mistakes we see are made at the moment of choosing the route, not the moment of arguing the case.

Three pillars, one file per client

01

Intellectual property

Title, territory and enforcement for patents, trade marks, designs and trade secrets. We advise on where to file, whether to opt out, when to move, and what an action in the Nordic-Baltic division of the Unified Patent Court actually costs before it is started.

  • Freedom to operate
  • Opposition and invalidity
  • UPC strategy and opt-out
  • Licensing and assignment
  • Trade secrets
02

Technology and data

Software and platform contracts, data protection, network and information security duties, data-sharing and AI obligations — for vendors selling into the European Union and for the companies buying from them.

  • SaaS and licensing terms
  • NIS2 scope and duties
  • GDPR enforcement defence
  • Data Act and AI obligations
  • Outsourcing and hosting
03

Digital assets

Authorisation, supervision and change-of-regulator work for crypto-asset service providers, token issuers and the funds and payment firms adjacent to them, across the two Baltic supervisors that carry the largest European caseloads in this field.

  • Authorisation files
  • Regulatory correspondence
  • Supervisory reviews
  • Cross-border passporting
  • Withdrawal and appeal

Each is a fixed price, agreed in writing before work starts and delivered as a note with a named author and a decision at the end of it. A partner replies in minutes; we name the price within one business day of your enquiry — once we know the asset, the counterparty and the deadline, because those three move the number more than any list could. What drives it: how many registers, how many jurisdictions, whether a deadline is already running, and whether anyone is on the other side. Hourly work begins only after you have read one note and decided you want more.

Questions

Do you register patents and trade marks, or only advise on them?

We map and protect intangible assets and act before the relevant authorities — the EPO and the Unified Patent Court for patents, the EUIPO for trade marks and designs — across Lithuania and Estonia. Where a filing is best handled by a local agent, we coordinate it.

What is the Unified Patent Court's Nordic-Baltic division, and why does it matter here?

The UPC's Nordic-Baltic regional division covers Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and hears cases in English. For a company operating through Lithuania or Estonia it changes where a patent action runs, the cost, and the settlement pressure.

Can you advise on digital assets and token licensing?

Yes. We cover the authorisation and supervision of digital-asset activity, licensing economics — rates, splits, audit rights — and the regulatory-capital and own-funds modelling that follows.

Do you publish fixed prices?

Not as a list. Each first step is a fixed price, named within one business day of your enquiry and agreed in writing before any work begins — the asset, the counterparty and the deadline set the number. Hourly work starts only once you have read the first note and decided you want more.
